The EC "will act" on the ruling of the Polish Constitutional Court that questions the primacy of community law over domestic law. Warsaw "undermines judicial independence", something the EU cannot "risk".

"We cannot risk and we will not risk our common values. The Commission will act," said the president of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, in a debate in the European Parliament also attended by the Polish president, Mateusz Morawiecki.
