Elephant-mammoth hybrid": bioscience company claims it will bring back the extinct woolly mammoth

An American company specializing in genetics announced this Monday (09/13/2021) that it seeks to be a pioneer in the "de-extinction" of animal species and "recover" the woolly mammoth of the Arctic tundra, disappeared thousands of years ago, to combat climate change and "heal" the Earth.

"Colossal will launch a practical de-extinction model and will be the first company to apply advanced genetic modification techniques to reintegrate the woolly mammoth into the Arctic tundra," the company said in a statement.
