KETTERING, Ohio — Tenneco announced Thursday that it intends to close its plant in southwest Ohio by the end of 2023, a move that will affect more than 600 jobs, according to reports.

Tenneco spokesman Steve Blow tells the Dayton Daily News that the plant, which makes shock absorbers, is “not a sustainable business case,” citing higher prices for materials such as steel and a market oversaturation of shock absorber production.
